Edge of Spring Fantasy Fair – Mother’s Day Weekend 2026

Step into a storybook world this Mother’s Day weekend at the Gold Country Fairgrounds & Event Center! Celebrate with your family and friends as the Edge of Spring Fantasy Fair returns with a spellbinding theme: Old World Faerie Tales.

**Mothers Entrance Fees Are FREE on Mother's Day Sunday (with at least one other adult ticket booked) at the gate or online.

Wander through enchanting realms inspired by beloved classics like Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, Rapunzel, and more. Meet whimsical characters, watch breathtaking performances, and marvel at artisans bringing fairy-tale magic to life.

This is a festival with shows, themed shopping with merchants, and interactive experiences.From interactive storytelling and costumed parades to music, crafts, and fantastical creatures, there’s something to delight both kids and adults alike. Whether you’re looking for a family adventure, a creative outing with friends, or a magical way to celebrate Mom, this fair promises an unforgettable weekend filled with wonder and imagination.

HIghlights from 2025

No Refunds within 90 days leading up to the event. Refunds will only be granted if the organizers have to cancel or postpone the event for more than 90 days.

We provide a limited number of discounted tickets for veterans and first responders through the nonprofits VetTix and 1stTix. You can sign up for an account at VetTix.org or 1stTix.org

You can bring swords, daggers, and bows. All weapons must be peace tied, however. Masks are not allowed if they cover the complete face, partial face coverings are allowed.

No, but costumes are highly encouraged. See here for costume contest details.

No outside food or drink is allowed in the venue. A clear, unopened bottle with removable lid, no larger than 20 oz may be permitted after inspection. Also, empty reusable containers may be brought in.

Tickets are non-transferable unless approved in writing by the organizer.

Yes, you can, as long as it is low-back and of a reasonable size.

General admission tickets are good for the entire day (or weekend, depending on type purchased). Twilight Tickets are an option for those that wish to purchase a slightly less expensive ticket, and is only valid for entry into the event after the Twilight Hours begin.

While we love to see all the furry and fuzzy faces, pets will need to stay at home, due to insurance and liability concerns. Service animals are permitted in accordance with law.
